Simon Keith, raised in Victoria, B.C. is the first ever heart transplant recipient to compete in a professional sport after a transplant. Simon was just 21 when he received his new heart, ironically, from another soccer player. He is now one of the longest living organ transplant recipients in the world.
Simon travels across North America to tell his story and captivates audiences in his lively speeches and moments of truth. In 2011 he founded the Simon Keith Foundation, an organization dedicated to increasing organ donor awareness and educating transplant recipients. Simon uses the proceeds from his speaking engagements to provide athletic training for other transplant recipients who choose to return to an active and healthy lifestyle.
Heart for the Game is the book written about Simon’s life and his rise as a young, talented soccer player with the world at his feet. All that changed when he was suddenly diagnosed with a fatal heart condition and given only weeks to live.
